Young visual artists sought for an exhibition in the spring

Project TRACE (Tracking emerging artists and emerging cultural) prove what is behind the One of the most original projects in spring 2011 in the Valley du Haut-Saint-Laurent: Detour Home, une exposition en six lieux qui mettra à l’avant-scène le talent de six artistes de la relève en arts visuels.

Peintres, sculpteurs, photographes, dessinateurs, artistes multidisciplinaires ou multimédia en quête de professionnalisation, voici votre chance !

En plus d’exposer vos œuvres dans l’une des six salles d’exposition si vous êtes retenu, votre sélection vous permettra de vivre une expérience professionnelle complète en bénéficiant notamment des services de Mme Chantal Séguin, commissaire d’exposition. De plus, vous recevrez une bourse de professionnalisation de 1 000 $ et assisterez à a series of training, both individual and collective, whose aim is to better equip you to fulfill your career plan.

To be eligible for this call, you must be aged (e) from 18 to 35 years when submitting your application or come and live in the Valley du Haut Saint-Laurent, which includes Beauharnois-Salaberry, Haut-Saint-Laurent, Jardins-de-Napierville, Roussillon and Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Persons of indigenous territories and Akwesasne Khanawake may also participate in this call.


Your application must include a letter of intent, a curriculum vitae, artistic, a short description of your art, prints or digital photos (on CD) 5 to 7 works by pressing the folder, and a description of selected works. The deadline for submitting applications is October 22, will prevail in the postmark.

Supported by an agreement signed by the Forum jeunesse Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent regional conference of elected officers (CRE) Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent and the Ministry of Culture, Communications and Status of Women, the TRACE initiative aims to improve social conditions and emerging artists on the whole territory in order to make the region an attractive environment for emerging artists and cultural.

Exposure Detour-Back is the collaborative effort of several partners, including locations: Saint-Laurent Complex La Prairie House Trestler of Vaudreuil-Dorion, the Musée régional de Vaudreuil- Soulanges, Vaudreuil-Dorion also, le MUSO – Musée de société des Deux-Rives de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, le Parc régional de St-Bernard-de-Lacolle et la Salle Alfred-Langevin située à Huntingdon.

Le Forum jeunesse Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent et la CRÉ Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent sont des organismes de concertation, de mobilisation et de sensibilisation qui constituent les interlocuteurs privilégiés du gouvernement en matière de développement régional.
